]]> The bill would ban firearms for those with misdemeanor offenses involving domestic violence cases. The Democrats know this is unconstitutional. A constitutional right cannot be removed for a non-felony offense. They seek only to subvert the constitution and force the people to defend their rights expensively in drawn out court cases. Laws like this have already been overturned due to the Supreme Court Bruen decision.

]]> The bill would have criminalized private transfers of firearms by expanding Michigan’s handgun permit to purchase system to all firearms. These bills expand registration to all firearms. Criminals and mass shooters, the ones Democrats are supposedly targeting) will not obey this law any more than any other gun law so it can not be universal by any stretch of the imagination. And like all gun laws, will do nothing to reduce any crime. It is meant to produce a gun registration list Democrats can use to seize firearms.
